Wildland Fires

Improve Wildland Fire Suppression With Greater Reach, Wider Coverage, and Efficient Water Application.

What's Needed

Why Wildland Fires Demand Advanced Firefighting Solutions

Wildland fires spread rapidly due to dry, heavy fuel loads and environmental challenges like high winds. A fast initial attack, wind-resistant stream, wide coverage, and deep penetration are critical to prevent exponential fire growth. Dense brush and dry timber require nozzles that deliver long reach and high stream penetration for effective suppression.

Wind resistant, wide coverage stream, faster suppression

Smoothbore nozzles penetrate but lack coverage. Fog nozzles provide coverage but are not wind-resistant. The BLADE combines big penetrating droplets with a solid linear pattern for superior coverage, deep penetration into the duff, and wind resistance. It's the best of both, in one quarter-turn nozzle.

Case Study

Lessons from Maui

In the wake of the Maui wildfires, fire service leaders rethought tactics, tools, and training.  HEN Technologies partnered with Maui Fire's Wildland Program Director Timothy Herrick, and Chairman, Jack Smith to compare a fog nozzle against the BLADE 20 and BLADE 45 nozzles.
